Kentucky Bourbon, the best in the world.
The small towns and counties that are an easy drive from Louisville all have the perfect terroir—the mix of limestone and other minerals in the soil that produce the best corn, wheat and rye—that is combined with limestone-filtered water, creating the base for the ideal mash for the best Bourbon. Weather extremes (hot in the summer and cold in the winter) create an ideal interaction between the bourbon and the barrels they are stored in as they expand and contract.
Generations of distillers, many with immigrant roots in Scotland and Ireland, have capitalized on the unique combination of natural elements found in Kentucky to produce the distinctive Bourbon flavors that have become the Kentucky tradition.
